Throughout my career, I noticed concerns from men about their sexual health and the complexities of being a man in today's society. This became a specialization for me. In addition to sexual health, I work in partnership with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, impulse control, or substance abuse.

I have maintained a private counseling practice since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children.

I've spent years providing crisis care to children, teens, and families, and working with adults facing complex mental health challenges. My name is Dr. Hetzel. I am honored to meet you! I work gently and supportively to communicate with autistic individuals, LGBTQIA people, elder adults, those who have experienced T/trauma, and who may be diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as individuals who experience anxiety.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC-S). I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed approach using EMDR, mindfulness, and creative techniques to help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, substance use, and life transitions.
