Rula is an inclusive mental healthcare organization redefining the mental healthcare system to improve accessibility, affordability, and quality of care.

Rula accepts commercial plans from most major insurance carriers including Aetna, Anthem, most Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield plans, Cigna, Kaiser (by referral), Optum, Oscar, and United Healthcare and are continuing to expand our insurance partnerships. These vary by state. We can also work with some employer-based plans not listed.

We are looking for both board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and licensed Psychiatrists (MD/DO) to join our network. All providers must have the ability to provide telehealth.

PMHNPs must have:

• 1+ years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and managing crisis situations

• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

• An unrestricted license and valid DEA number

• Independent licensure and/or working with collaborating MD, as required by state law

• Registration with state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)

• A master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited university or graduate program in psychiatric mental health nursing

Psychiatrists must have:

• Experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and managing crisis situations

• Board certification in Psychiatry with an active, unrestricted license and valid DEA number with Schedules II-V listed

• Registration with state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)

Partnering with Rula as an independent contractor is completely free, with no minimum hours or caseload requirements. Our providers have the freedom to decide their patient load and schedule.

We help attract patients for your practice through direct to consumer marketing and referrals from our insurance partners. We also handle and fund the marketing of your profile online, helping patients find you faster.

For new providers, we gather information about their specialties and the patient populations they'd like to serve. Similarly, for new patients, we collect details regarding the services they are seeking, along with their preferences for a provider's race, gender, language abilities, and treatment specialties.

Patients then receive a tailored list of providers that are covered by insurance to choose from. If you feel a patient isn't the right fit after the first visit, Rula will ensure they're rematched for the care they need.

Rula has no minimum caseload, allowing you to build a schedule that works best for you. You’ll have the ability to manage your available calendar slots, and we’ll work within your set availability and how many patients you want to see to fill you with new patients.
